Service for infants under 2 years occupying a separate seat

Vietnam Airlines recognizes that every trip with a child deserves special care and gentle attention. The separate seat service for children under 2 years old helps infants stay more comfortable throughout the flight, while giving parents greater peace of mind to enjoy their journey.

Standards of service

This service is available for children from 7 days old up to under 02 years of age, traveling with their parents in Economy and Premium Economy cabins.

Safety seat standards:

• Designed to match the child’s age and weight, following the manufacturer’s safety guidelines.
• With a valid certification label from an authorized body such as the FAA (United States), ECE (Europe), FMVSS, or equivalent. Please refer to the detailed identification of the certification label.

Children’s baggage allowance follows the same standards as adults.

The fare is applied at the same rate as the child fare for ages 02 to under 12.

Before departure

Passengers should be aware of the following information:

• Please register for the service through Vietnam Airlines sales offices, agents, or Contact Center at least 24 hours before departure.
• Ensure that the safety seat fits the dimensions of the aircraft seat.
• Vietnam Airlines staff may request passengers to provide information on the seat’s standards and installation instructions.

On flight

Passengers are responsible for installing child seats as instructed by the manufacturer, while flight attendants will provide the infant safety belt.

Service refund

• If the aircraft is changed and the child safety seat is incompatible with the new seat, the service fee will be refunded. In such cases, infants under 02 will travel seated with their parents or accompanying adult.
• If passengers choose to cancel the service voluntarily, refunds will be processed based on the applicable fare rules .
